Forestry

The woodland next to the field.

Woodland as its own stands in the same system as fields and hunting grounds — on the same maps, with the same cadastral parcels and the same owners.

What this area does

Small, and honestly described.

Forestry manages woodland as its own stands alongside arable land — with species, establishment year, area, colour and its own geometry on the map. For farms that have woodland next to their fields and want to see it in the same system, that is enough.

For a forestry operation that needs felling plans, timber measurement or certification records, it is not enough. We would rather say that here than after the contract is signed.

Included

Create stands and draw them on the map, species from an extensible list (pine, oak, beech, birch, alder, larch, Douglas fir, black locust, poplar, mixed stand, clear-cut), establishment year, area from the geometry, a free colour per stand, notes.

Shared with the rest

Woodland sits on the same maps as everything else — with aerial imagery, cadastral parcels, the services from the catalogue, field photos and the hunting ground layers.

Not included

Felling plans, harvesting and timber measurement, growth and yield models, FSC or PEFC certification records, forest road and extraction rack planning.

Forestry

The youngest area, and deliberately the smallest. It manages woodland as its own kind of unit alongside arable land — no more, but no less.

Woodland parcels

/forst

Stands with species, establishment year, area and their own geometry on the map. Pine, oak, beech, mixed stand and the other species typical for Brandenburg are offered as a starting list that can be extended. Colour per stand freely selectable, notes on the stand.
